Today’s MLB player props feature two hitters in rhythm: one with serious home run value and another with a sneaky base hit edge. I'm taking Trevor Story to go deep and Nathaniel Lowe to keep his hit streak alive.

MLB Player Props Today
Trevor Story to Hit a Home Run (+425 at Sportsbook)
Story’s time in Boston hasn’t gone as planned, but he’s showing signs of life this month. The veteran shortstop homered against the Yankees on June 8, then followed up with another bomb yesterday vs the Rays.
Now he draws Zach Littell, who has allowed the second-most home runs in the league, trailing only Bowden Francis. It’s a great time to take a value swing on Story, who has also cleared 1.5 total bases in four straight games.
The Red Sox offense is heating up, and Story’s power is starting to resurface. At +425, this is a high-upside play worth 0.25 or 0.5 units, depending on your risk tolerance.
Nathaniel Lowe OVER 0.5 Total Bases (-145 at Sportsbook)
Lowe enters tonight’s action riding a four-game hit streak and has recorded four total bases in each of his last two outings. Despite facing Mets lefty David Peterson, this line feels a little low.
The lefty-lefty matchup likely scares off some bettors, but Lowe is 1-for-5 lifetime against Peterson with a homer. He’s seeing the ball well right now, and this number gives us wiggle room. Just one hit cashes the ticket.
You can play this one with standard unit sizing. It’s a simple, smart way to back a hot bat in a favorable spot.
