It’s Thursday, June 5, and I’m loading up two early YRFI bets on a slate filled with suspect pitching. First, I’m banking on Brandon Pfaadt’s recent meltdown carrying over in Atlanta. Then I’m rolling the dice in Chicago, where the Tigers have turned into a first-inning wrecking crew.
YRFI Pick Today: Diamondbacks vs Braves (-104 at Sportsbook)

Let’s be honest, this is a bet against Brandon Pfaadt more than anything.
The D-backs righty is coming off what’s jokingly been dubbed a “yes hitter” after giving up eight runs without recording an out in his last start. His command completely vanished, and he threw just 18 of 31 pitches for strikes, two hit batters, and not a single out.
The Braves lineup is also a bad matchup for him, owning an .828 OPS in 56 career at-bats against the right-hander.
At -104, this is a great price for a YRFI with one of the day’s shakiest arms on the bump.
YRFI Pick Today: Tigers vs White Sox (-118 at Sportsbook)
Tigers vs White Sox Odds – 2:10 p.m. ET
I’ll keep this one short: the White Sox can’t score early, but Detroit absolutely can. The Tigers have been scorching hot in the first inning, slugging .778 with a 1.211 OPS over the past week.
Sean Burke has kept things clean in five straight starts, but don’t forget, he opened the year on a 4–0 YRFI streak. With Casey Mize facing a sleepy Sox lineup, the best shot at cashing this one comes from the top half.
Let’s pray for a Burke relapse.
