Rarest of Hands
An incredibly rare occurrence happened over the past week at the WSOP. In the $10,000 seven-card stud championship, Gus Hansen and Dmitry Urbanovich were battling out as the pool of players had shrunk from 127 to 35 when the unthinkable happened. They both had identical hands.
Hansen had a flush with 10♥J♥9♥A♥3♥ while Urbanovich had the same flush but with clubs! It's an insane occurrence that had everyone at the table simply stunned at what they were watching.
🤯 HAVE YOU EVER IN YOUR LIFE SEEN A STUD HAND END LIKE THIS?!

Don't worry - most of the table in the @WSOP $10K Seven Card Stud Championship hasn't seen it either... 😅
Everybody loves a chopped pot! 🎶 pic.twitter.com/mkd4XuZkcc
Because of the identical hands, neither player would win outright, instead chopping the pot between both players.

Ryan Bambrick Claims Career-Defining Win
Canadian poker legend Daniel Negreanu was hoping to land his eighth career WSOP bracelet at the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, and he was poised to do so going into the final day. Negreanu had a massive 480,000 chip advantage, but American Ryan Bambrick stole the day.
Bambrick knocked out both Negreanu and Viktor Blom to win his second-career bracelet and win $470,437. Those winnings saw him more than double his winnings, a $217,123 pot from WSOP 2018, where he won the $1,500 PLO event.
Benny Glaser Jumping up Bracelet List
Over the past week, British player Benny Glaser won two bracelets, he won the $1,500 Dealers Choice before locking up that $1,500 Mixed Omaha event. Nabbing two bracelets now puts him at seven in his career. It was the second World Series of Poker where the 36-year-olds won multiple bracelets.
Those seven career bracelets have him tied at seventh in the all-time bracelet list. One more bracelet at the 2025 WSOP would consolidate him at seventh all-time and would make him the eighth player to win three bracelets in one WSOP.
